The purpose of Covenant Radio is to bring people in the Church to a place where they think through various doctrines so that they may understand what they teach and are able to deal with them on a more personal level. It does seem to be a valid observation that many in the Church today are unable to adequately define and defend their own theological views. The goal, therefore, is to offer people a source and wealth of information so that one may be assisted in knowing what they truly believe. One should not be afraid to be pressed outside their normal comfort zones. People often arrive at conclusions only because they get tired of thinking through various issues or because they were taught that a particular view is correct biblically. Covenant Radio's desire is to present a number of issues, both theological and practical in nature, to help people move their thinking to a higher level.
Within the Reformed tradition, there has been controversy over the interpretation of the second commandment. Many argue that it precludes all visual depictions, while others argue it only prohibits images of God.
