Idea for 2009.

Greetings Members,

Your feedback is needed! I am considering making UG available to the public. What this means is that non members of UG will be able to view the content on UG. Non members will be able to watch videos, read articles and view content on the site. However, they will not be able to participate on UG in any way unless they apply for membership and have that membership approved.

There are pros and cons to this idea and that is why I want to get as much feedback from all of you as members.

Some of the pros:
1. You will be able to send non members direct links to forum posts, videos and resources on UG in which they will be able to view without being members.

2. By allowing non members access to the site content they may have a desire to join so they too can participate on UG.

Some of the cons:

1. The site content will no longer be private; in that non members will be able to view anything on the site. (Keep in mind all of your private settings such as password, e-mail, personal setting will be 100% secure at all times).

2. Your writings, blogs, forum posts, videos and profiles will be able to be viewed by non members.

This is something I want you all to consider and please give me your feedback on this as soon as possible.

I vote yes because it may introduce a believer to the doctrines of grace or it may bring an unbeliever to Christ. I have no questions or concerns as long as they agree to follow the guidelines.

I vote Yes. Reading thought provoking blogs and the insights of other writers, those that have gone before us and are now with the Lord is a good thing so long as they were standing for the truth.
