This is for Steven and Chris and anyone else interested in Creation. CREATION is REAL! The first concept that the Spirit of God led me to as FACT, immediately after my salvation, was CREATION and the TRUTH of Genesis 1-11. Since that time in 1985,…

Steven, I lost a few very close friends over this issue that you write about. It saddens me to this day that I cannot have fellowship with them. I love them dearly and want only the best for them.

Hey Steven,

Thanks for the message. I had not yet read the post you were referring. To you are correct that I do not believe in a Unlimited Atonement as what is being presented in Carls post.

I would suggest responding to his post via Scripture to start a discussion regarding his post. This might open this topic he posted up for discussion. Keep in mind that there are people on UG who may not be saved. Even though this site is for Christians I am sure there are people here who are lost. I am not making any claims about ones salvation in this case one way or another, but I would encourage you to take advantage of dialogue with anyone on the site who might have a unbiblical view. That's what this site is for, is for professing Christians to come reason together. IMO the case of Carl it sounds like a common Arminian argeument, one which might be worth the time for you to discuss with him.

Dear Steven,
I liked the words that you used – “I trust God you got the job if not thy will be done in heaven as it is here on earth.”
So Brother, guess what? It was not His will. Can you believe it, I got through all the rounds of the interview but for some unknown reason I got rejected in the last minute. But here is the interesting part, all along I was praying that I would not get this job and that God would close the door unless He was done with me as far as ‘Ministry’ was concerned. So God is not done with me. He called me to be a preacher of the Gospel and sooner or later He is going to open an effectual door. Because the ‘gifts and the callings of God are without repentance (irrevocable). And this job, though the salary was good is a ‘Graveyard shift’ which requires me to work for 13 hours. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But if I am going to slog 13 hours just for the money, then where would I have time for the Lord and His work?
So God knows best. I know that I must work and support my family and the Lord will give me a job where I can do this and not leave the other undone. Continue to pray for me.

Here’s a nice poem I thought might bless your heart-

When God wants to drill a man,
And thrill a man,
And skill a man
When God wants to mold a man
To play the noblest part;

When He yearns with all His heart
To create so great and bold a man
That all the world shall be amazed,
Watch His methods, watch His ways!

How He ruthlessly perfects
Whom He royally elects!
How He hammers him and hurts him,
And with mighty blows converts him

Into trial shapes of clay which
Only God understands;
While his tortured heart is crying
And he lifts beseeching hands!

How He bends but never breaks
When his good He undertakes;
How He uses whom He chooses,
And which every purpose fuses him;
By every act induces him
To try His splendor out-
God knows what He's about.

Author known only to God!
Love
Mike
